Yes. You can mark attendance, view the current month's salary, and access all previously loaded data without any internet connection. Every tap is saved on your device instantly and synced to the cloud the moment you reconnect.

Salary is calculated as: (Days Present + Half Days × 0.5) ÷ Working Days Setting × Monthly Salary. For example, if salary is $400/month, working days is 26, and the staff worked 22 days — the earned amount is $338. The app shows the full working every time so there’s never any ambiguity.

While a month is still running, its slip is marked Provisional — the total is recalculated every time you mark a day, so it keeps moving as the month goes on. Shortly after the month ends, StaffAround settles it on its own and the slip becomes Final. Settled figures are held at the salary and working-days setting that applied during that month, so giving someone a raise later never rewrites a month you have already paid. Final does not mean locked: if you spot a mistake in an old month you can still correct the attendance — the app asks you to confirm first, then updates and re-settles that month.

StaffAround supports Mon–Fri, Mon–Sat, all 7 days, custom weekly days (pick exactly which days), once or twice a week, monthly fixed dates, and flexible (no fixed schedule). The salary and reminders automatically adapt to the chosen schedule.

Your data is never deleted when you downgrade or cancel. You move to the Free plan and retain access to all your data — you just lose access to paid features. Staff beyond the Free limit become temporarily hidden but are not removed. Upgrade again at any time to restore full access.

Yes. StaffAround is available in 12 languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Punjabi. Based on the country selected on the Account Page, change the language anytime from Settings.

StaffAround asks for notification permission the first time you mark attendance rather than at launch, so you know what you are agreeing to — tap Allow when the prompt appears. Then open Settings → Notifications to choose what you receive. The daily attendance reminder is on every plan: 8:30 AM on Free for your active household, or any time you pick on Plus and Pro, for each household separately. Plus and Pro also get a monthly salary alert on the 1st, at a time you choose.

Almost always the phone is blocking them. Android and iOS silently discard notifications from an app that was never granted permission, so the switches inside StaffAround can read “on” while nothing arrives. When that happens we show a red dot on the Settings icon and on the Notifications row — open Settings → Notifications and it will tell you exactly what to fix. Also check your phone's own settings for StaffAround: the “Attendance Alerts” and “Salary Alerts” categories can be muted individually, which stops those reminders even when the app has permission.

Record a cash advance with the amount, date, and an optional note. It automatically appears as a deduction on the salary slip. Once you mark it as repaid, it stops appearing in the slip. The salary slip clearly shows the advance deduction and the final Net Payable amount.

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and is accessible only through your authenticated account. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
